Responsible for managing the overnight residential services and operations.
Essential Duties:
- Participate in shelter strategic planning to develop and implement short and long-term goals and objectives for the overnight team.
- Facilitate shift huddles & team meetings with staff.
- Complete file reviews to ensure all shelter files and data entries are completed properly.
- Provide quality direct services to survivors of domestic violence and their children.
- Ensure overnight staff complete daily sift checklists.
- Complete overnight manager shift checklist.
- Responsible for pulling monthly shelter statistical reports and send to the Senior Shelter Managers for review.
- Available for on-call rotation duties and responsibilities as scheduled.
- Assist with the shelter schedule to ensure the overnight shift is adequately staffed.
- Develop, implement, and monitor work plans, process, procedures, and policies as needed.
- Assist with interviewing, hiring, evaluating, coaching, and terminating staff as needed.
- Provide ongoing, individual coaching and support to Case Manager Advocates and Resident Life Advocates on the overnight shift.
- Assist with oversight of the basic needs inventory and coordinate with RLA Manager to purchase items as needed.
- Provide assistance with the food program by prepping food, inventorying food supply, stocking & rotating food items, and ordering food.
- Assist with keeping the kennel clean and providing kennel checks.
- Ensure perimeter safety checks are completed and that cleanliness guidelines for the shelter are maintained.
- Responsible for understanding and acting in accordance with CASA policies.
- Facilitate staff trainings as needed.
- Facilitate staff and residents’ complaints through established policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- College degree in a related area preferred or relevant years of work experience required.
- Ability to establish best practices and operational efficiency.
- Previous Supervisory experience required.
- Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner, both written and oral
- Ability to remain calm and make objective decisions during stressful situations.
- Ability to use discretion in working with confidential and sensitive data.
- Ability to work evenings and /or weekends as necessary.
- Possess a valid Florida State Driver’s License to be verified annually.
- Personal transportation and auto insurance.
- Ability and willingness to drive CASA vehicles.
- Agree to a background check.
- Possess the ability lift 50 pounds.
