The major function will be to oversee the Non-Residential Advocates/FJC Navigators. Additionally, this position is responsible for overseeing the services provided to survivors who come into the Non-Residential Program/Family Justice Center.

ILLUSTRATIVE DUTIES:

  • Manage and oversee CASA’s Non-Residential Advocates/FJC Navigators, Front Desk staff, and FJC Volunteers and Interns.
  • Responsible for assessing current service delivery methods and developing a comprehensive plan that outlines the service delivery model that will best fit in the FJC framework.
  • Train advocates on the new FJC service delivery model.
  • Provide quality direct services to survivors who come into the program. This includes providing intakes, answering phone calls, safety planning, case management, facilitating support group(s), and other supportive services.
  • Work collaboratively with onsite and offsite community partners to ensure that survivors receive quality wrap around care and services.
  • Assist with training on-site and off-site partners on the intake process and service delivery model at the FJC.
  • Responsible to assist with the coordination of services for youth affected by domestic violence.
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining the FJC program policies and procedures in collaboration with the FJC Director.
  • Work a flexible schedule, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Be available for on-call responsibilities.
  • Participate in FJC strategic planning to develop and implement short and long-term goals with staff.
  • Attend collaborative meetings with onsite partners to continuously develop best practices related to service delivery at the FJC.
  • Continuously review and evaluate services and client experiences to ensure the best possible outcome for survivors and their children.
  • Develop, Review, and Update the FJC Program Manual annually.
  • Develop, Review, and Update the Support Group Curriculum annually.
  • Hire and train new staff.
  • Keep supervisor informed of successes, barriers, concerns, and performance issues.
  • Track and manage department budget.
  • Complete ongoing file reviews with staff to ensure forms are completed properly, documentation is accurate in Osnium, and quality services are provided to survivors.
  • Review and maintain a log of survivor surveys to assess survivor feedback/satisfaction.
  • Attend community meetings as requested by supervisor.
  • Provide ongoing team meetings at least every other week.
  • Review and sign off on staff timesheets, PTO requests, PPR’s, travel requests and other necessary paperwork.
  • Attend and participate in CASA staff meetings, required trainings, and special projects at the request of the supervisor.
  • Track and monitor staff required training (annual hours, designation, CPR, relocation certification, etc).
  • Evaluate, support, coach, and counsel staff as needed.
  • Provide domestic violence presentations to community partners upon request.
  • Work a flexible schedule to include evenings, weekends and in emergencies.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent work or life experience required.
  • Previous management experience preferred.
  • Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner, both written and oral.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to complete work and projects in a timely manner with regards to deadlines.
  • Ability to remain calm and make objective decisions during extremely stressful situations.
  • Have the ability to function independently using judgement, ingenuity and initiative and work cooperatively as a team member.
  • Knowledge of local resources.
  • Must exercise a high degree of professional discretion when handling sensitive or confidential information or records.
  • Willingness to drive agency vehicles, as needed.
  • Possession and maintenance of a valid Florida State Driver’s License and auto insurance.
  • Participate in all background-screening requirements
