Some CASA Pinellas services temporarily paused as organization assesses situation ahead of storm
[ST. PETERSBURG, FL., Aug. 28, 2023] – CASA Pinellas, the official provider of domestic violence support in Pinellas County, is currently assessing the situation ahead of Hurricane Idalia.
The emergency shelter remains open, and the 24-hour hotline is active with no disruptions. The Family Justice Center will not be seeing clients Tuesday, August 29, and Wednesday, August 30. The CASA Thrift Boutique and administrative offices will close at 1:00pm Tuesday, August 29, and remain closed Wednesday, August 30. All CASA locations and services will tentatively resume Thursday, August 31, 2023.
Plans are in place for uninterrupted hotline service.
The organization will resume services to domestic violence victims and other related daily operations as soon as it is safe and physically possible.
