Volunteer Spotlight: Meet Rebecca
News Volunteer Spotlights

PLEASE TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOURSELF.

My name is Rebecca Glomski, and I am on my last semester at USF! I will be graduating in May with a bachelor’s in criminology and a minor in forensic behavioral health. I am very excited for the next chapter in my life!

Why do you choose to volunteer at CASA? What do you love the most about interning?

I choose to intern at CASA because it is very rewarding being able to empower survivors of domestic violence and prevent them from feeling revictimized by the CJ system. CASA is an amazing agency because they support these individuals by providing resources and services. I love interning here because I hope to be an advocate when I graduate, and I feel like I am truly learning a lot.

What is your favorite experience or memory volunteering at CASA?

My favorite experience interning with CASA thus far is going to the courthouse and shadowing CASA’s justice advocate Heather. I really enjoy being able to sit in on injunction hearings and talk to survivors.
