Volunteer Spotlight: Meet Tracy
News Volunteer Spotlights

Please tell us a little bit about yourself.

My name is Tracy Brice and I am a proud volunteer of CASA. I feel this is such a worthy cause and was so happy to have this organization after recently moving here from Minnesota. I feel this is such a worthy cause. In my past I have owned my own businesses and have personally witnessed and experienced so much crippling verbal and physical abuse and was there to help some of these families close to me and give them opportunities to help them feel worthy and give them help to get back on their feet.

Can you tell us about your first time volunteering with CASA and what you like most about volunteering?

My first volunteer job was building new furniture, cleaning and helping to make the transition apartments feel like home. It was an extremely hot and humid day. We all had to wear masks, it was very physically challenging. I was so impressed with the team and what this project stood for. The teamwork I experienced was so impressive. Everyone worked so hard until the very end without a complaint and friendly smiles on their face.

I am so impressed with the care, quality and professionalism CASA offers these families. The families can feel safe and have a beautiful environment with so many amenities to help them on the way to healing and finding their way back to the quality of life they deserve.
